Since the First Sunrise/COMING HOME
Since the First Sunrise/Coming Home is a kaleidoscopic lens, peering across the mountain range of time. Embodied, humorous, bizarre, guided, intuitive, flowing and ridiculous- this alive score braids disciplines while attempting to bend spacetime.
Created, produced, and performed collaboratively by jaime lee christiana, Adrian Hutapea and Tracy Broyles Since the First Sunrise/Coming Home blends visceral dancing, theatrical interludes, and live immersive sound under a fiber art installation.
While researching and creating this piece we asked ourselves: How can we reconcile with the totality of what it means to be human while coming home to the truth of our interconnectedness with each other and the earth?
Our process revealed: Life may suck and then you die, but you will likely have some real and profound beauty along the way. Life is all around, everywhere, in everything and everyone. Linear time does not matter to the flow of energy, ancestry and emotion. There is more unknown to us than known.and- You are never alone.
Ultimately, Since the First Sunrise/Coming Home presents to you, the viewer, the space to find your own experience and sit with your own reflection. Or not. Either way, we- BunkerFood Studio, genuinely hope to share this hour of time together. To sit together, breath, create and live.
If sold out, we will take a waiting list at the door in case of no-shows.

Our work is reflective of the invisible, intangible and metaphysical realm of dreams, myth and elemental archetypes. We use performative art as a means of honoring nature and its ever evolving iterations. We endeavor to share our art-making practice/process with others thru collaborations, mentorships and workshops.
